At Home in (Cortona) Italy
This high-walled, ancient hill-town in the Tuscany region of bella Italia is the setting that directly inspired the book and film “Under the Tuscan Sun.” You may not see Diane Lane there, but what you will see – landscapes, wineries, olive groves, museums, churches – will blow your mind (and potentially your knees – not kidding about the hilly part.) Cortona is on the main rail line between Rome and Florence so it’s easy to jaunt around and about.
Casa Maria will be your home-away-from-home with 2-bedrooms, 1-bath and a kitchen with glorious views of terra cotta rooftops, Lake Trasimeno and the Val di Chiana (Google it. It’s gorgeous.) Pre-trip personal concierge service, as well as local, English-speaking guest agent in town are built into this trip for your comfort and customization. Ciao!
Fair Market Value: $3,100.00. Minimum Bid: $1,700.00. 3 guest maximum. 7-nights (Saturday – Sunday.) Arrangements for available dates to be made through Sojourn Ventures. Travel not included. Expires October 2017.

Review from last year’s winner, Anne Ashbey:
“Paradise by the sea…
Gabbi and Nick took amazing good care of us, from start to finish, arranging catamaran adventures, ziplining, home-cooked meal, transportation, super chilled Modela in the fridge. All we had to do was relax. August weather included thunder, lightning an amazing rainbow over the Pacific and dinner in the dark on the plaza. Villa Poema de Amor is so beautiful — clean, comfortable and the views are nothing short of breathtaking. The on-site infinity pool has great views overlooking Sayulita, which is a great bonus. We look forward to our next trip!”
