The New Armory!
Our Production Manager, Bruce Hostetler, outlines the many improvements we’ve made to our biggest venue, the Historic Ashland Armory.

Remember those flat folding chairs? They’re gone. This year we’re bringing in molded plastic chairs with armrests – your own armrest! We’ll still have the Soroptomist’s and Britt Festival cushions, and now you’ll have a bigger, more sculpted seat to put them on. And we’re keeping the curved rows from last year so every seat faces the screen.
You’ll still be able to buy lunch or dinner at the Armory, as well as coffee, tea, and snacks. This year we’ve added popcorn to our menu of armory treats.
And the most exciting of all? In past years the Armory projected films from BluRay disks with a consumer grade projector. In 2014 we are bringing in a complete Digital Cinema Package (DCP) complete with theatre quality projector. We are upgrading the audio to full surround sound with five speaker locations around the Armory.
